Owner & Director

Jeannette Sermak-Proulx

Jeannette has been teaching since 1981. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from California Institute of the Arts, a Bachelor of Arts in English/Dance from Loyola Marymount University, and a Polish Folk Dance Teaching credential from Bursa Szkol Artystynych Lublin, Poland.

Jeannette taught Dance for Musical Theatre at Hamilton High School, as well as beginning Modern Dance at RD Colburne School of the Arts, a division of the University of Southern California. Jeannette has choreographed for the Greater Los Angeles Children’s Theatre, the Magnificent Melodrama and Vaudeville Company and for MTV. She performed as a dancer for the Long Beach Opera, Normandy Casino, Universal Studios and in regional commercials. Jeannette Sermak-Proulx has directed Plaza Production One since its inception in 1984.

“Plaza Production I’s dance classes in our school have been a great success. They have been teaching our students Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop and Character dancing; and presenting an annual performance at our Christmas program for almost ten years. Plaza Production I’s instructors are pleasant and know how to handle our young children 3-7 years of age. The company is easy to deal with and their cost is very reasonable.”

Program Assistant

Sarah Grace has been living in Los Angeles for many years, pursuing a career in the arts. She has an extensive background in theatre/improv, as well as singing and art.
She has taught children in these areas as well, working with College For Kids and other enrichment programs in her hometown of Merced, CA. Sarah is a graduate of Merced College, with a degree in Liberal Arts, because she has many interests, and likes to focus on more than one area of study at a time.
Sarah currently wears many hats at various jobs, like assisting Jeannette in the office, working retail, and even a background actor. Some of her latest background credits include NCIS, Bones, Two Broke Girls, Lethal Weapon, and many more.
Sarah hopes that no matter what she does in life, it’s always something that’s creative and something that will make people happy.
